T-Mobile UK is part of T-Mobile International, one of the leading suppliers of mobile telecommunications services worldwide. T-Mobile International, the wireless division of Deutsche Telekom, owns network operators in Germany, Austria, the United States and the Czech Republic. It holds significant interests in the Netherlands, Russia and Poland.

Today T-Mobile International has almost 67 million customers in Europe and the USA, including more than 10 million customers in the UK. The UK network covers over 99% of the population and handles around 260 million calls a week.

T-Mobile was known as One 2 One in the UK prior to the rebranding of the network in 2002.
